WIDE RANGE OF BIOPHARMACEUTICALS

The product types manufactured with microbial expression systems at Richter BioLogics include recombinant proteins and peptides, antibody-like scaffolds (VHH/Nanobodies, Fab-fragments), plasmid DNA, and bacterial vaccines.

Recombinant proteins account for the largest share. But Richter BioLogics has also accumulated extensive experience with many other proteins such as antibody-like scaffolds (e.g. VHH/Nanobodies, Fab-fragments), cytokines, and hormones.

Encouraging therapeutic successes have recently been reported for various gene therapies. Plasmid DNA (pDNA) is an important molecule not only in this field. Plasmids are produced as critical raw materials and serve as starting material for e.g. mRNA and RNAi and provide the DNA template  for virus production (e.g. AAV and Lentivirus) and cell-free expression systems. Our scalable, high-performance, proprietary pDNA process RB-pART offers high purification success with high ratio of supercoiled pDNA (≥95 %).

Richter BioLogics has been producing and analytically testing plasmid DNA for nearly 25 years.

The bacterial vaccines produced at Richter BioLogics include living, attenuated, and inactivated whole-cell vaccines, cell fragments, and surface polymers.
